The Lachute Rally Team was started in September of 1999 and first competed in Rally of the Voyageurs in Parry Sound, Ontario. They competed in the "Production 4" class using a rally prepared 2.5RS.

Shortly after their first rally the 2.5RS was rebuilt using parts from a JDM WRX STi RA and it was promoted to the Open class. Entering this car in the Rallye Auto Charlevoix the team achieved a 4th place finish. Their first podium finish occurred at the very next rally when they achieved a 3rd place finish at the Rally of the Tall Pines.

In January of 2001 a second car, piloted by Julien Pilon and co-piloted by his sister Marie-Eve Pilon moved up from their 2000 rallysprint experience to join the team. The pair competed in their Production 4 1991 Legacy Turbo and achieved a national 3rd overall in the 2001 Novice class.

The team added a 3rd car in February of 2002 for the Rallye de Quebec. This was a 1991 Subaru Legacy RS competing in the Production 4 class. The car was piloted by Nick Boucher and co-piloted by Pat Lavigne.

For the 2002 season Julien and Marie-Eve retired their Legacy Turbo and upgraded to 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX. The new car remains in the production class but has been a big step up for the pair. After many hours of preparation and anticipation, the team was ready for a head on attack of the 2002 North Amercian Rally Championship.
